Plastic Surgery

I find that plastic surgery has been increasingly a hot topic among different levels of working class. 'What do you think of plastic surgery?' or 'Would you ever get plastic surgery?' This phenomenon thanks to the constant technological innovation of such professional field.

I think plastic surgery can help those who have facial scars or damage, genetic defects and so on. For those who want to gain their confidence back and cannot bear stares from the public and want to go with the procedure, I do not condemn it. However there are some people who get plastic surgery just for the fun of it or want to look like certain celebrities. It is especially prevalent in other countries such as Korea and the United States. There are risks in all kinds of surgical procedures and it's not worth taking that risk. Beauty is in the heart and there is no point in being 'fake'. Just for a thought, what if your kids look neither like you nor your spouse but inherit the looks of some non-kindred famous people? The feeling is very weird. But then again, this might not be an issue to some people.

I, myself, believe that plastic surgery is a kind of denial, showing the world what you are not. But in the end, of course, every person has the choice and the right to make their own decisions and I respect that. Just do what makes you feel good, but don't overdo it.
